Violence Against Democrats

It is not surprising that the Democrats are celebrating their victory against the rest of America's citizens in the Health Care bill, nor that many of America's citizens aren't taking their defeat well.

Some are actually threatening these Democrats. It doesn't matter if these low-life, bottom-feeding, scum-sucking, corrupt politicians deserve it, it is NEVER, I repeat - NEVER acceptable to threaten them or, especially, their families with violence. This is wrong on every level, and can never be justified. Some of these people must have failed to read the Constitution, just like those Democrat policians.

If these moronic Democrats want abortions - let them!!! There will be fewer Democrats!!

If you want to get back at these arrogant SOBs who forget who they work for, then get involved in the political process and run for office and get elected. Many of the local elections where I live are UNCONTESTED!!! That means that people will complain, but won't get off their FAT ASSES to do anything about it!!!!

Quit your bitching and TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR YOUR OWN FUTURE!!!

Mortgage Help

The current administration has another plan to reward misbehavior - having banks cut the principal on mortgages where the home is worth less than what the borrower paid for it. This just rewards the speculation that went on unchecked for the past several years, and allows those who purchases or borrowed against a home more than what it was worth to get out from under that debt without feeling any pain.

Who pays for this? Well, the administration would have you believe that the lenders (ie, banks) are going to pay for it since they have such deep pockets. But you and I both know that the folks who have played by the rules and not run up debt on our homes that we cannot afford will end up paying for it through higher taxes, reduced credit and higher fees from our banks.

Still, I'd rather follow the rules than not. I know that I'm not a slimy parasite on society!

Health Care has gone to the dogs

The Congress is planning to vote in the Health Care reform bill that no one has read because it is 2000+ pages) without actually voting for it. Some, like Rep Langevin (a really personable guy for a politician) state that they are for this atrocious beast of a bill.

If it is such a good bill, why does the President have to bribe people to pass it? (See the recent news about the $100 million for Lousy-ana and the Medicaid/Medicare increases being passed off to other states for Nebraska.) I thought that selling your vote for money (or pork in this case) is the definition of bribery. . .

If this is truly reform, where is the tort reform (or are there too many slimy lawyers in Congress)?

If this bill is so good, why do they have to strongarm it through the Congress on a weekend? The system we have for creating legislation is designed to be slow and deliberate by the founders so that rash actions were not taken. Doesn't anyone study history anymore?

Don't those in leadership know what leadership is any more? Do you have to always pander to the whiners in society? So what if they have a checkbook?

Don't those elected officials know that the best method of term limits is to vote the incumbents out when they fail to respond to the electorate.

CONGRESS WORKS FOR US THE PEOPLE!!! Those who fail their trust with the people should be voted out in November. They are hoping that you will forget about this come next November. I think there will be a lot of them out on the streets.

You've got to wonder . . .

The Town Council all admitted that they were opposed to sewers in the town, but they hinted that the RI DEM (Rogues Island Department of Everything's Mine) would sue the town because the town accepted grant money to conduct at least two of the studies.

Now, the DEM is supposed to be on the side of the people of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations. The last time I looked, the people and dogs of Portsmouth count as people of the State of Rhode Island and Providence Plantations also. So if they sue Portsmouth, they are suing their constituents. Unless, of course, the people aren't really their constituents. Maybe it's other people with deeper pockets who want sewers in Portsmouth for their own nefarious reasons.

And what would they be suing Portsmouth about? Because Portsmouth doesn't want sewers, but a wastewater management district. Why should they care which way Portsmouth tends to its wastewater issues? Because the other two communities on the Rogues Island have a failed sewer system, and want to hook up to a brandy new one in Portsmouth paid for by Portsmouth taxpayers, not them. There is also a lot of currently vacant land that will be sewered so that then developers could build lots of stuff close together, instead of the good distances we have now. Follow the dough . . .

I find it absolutely appalling that the DEM thinks that because they've paid for a few studies that they own the decision outright in spite of the will of the voters and taxpayers, and they aren't even elected.

Well, all I've got to say the Rogues Island Department of Everything's Mine is

Town Councils and Rainfall

Don't you just hate it when it rains hard! I'm mean, yes, it's good for the grass and the plants and things, but have you ever had to go in the rain!! It's just hard to get the flow moving when you are being rained on!! It also keeps people inside and not wanting to attend the town council meeting where they are going to avoid voting on the sewers.

It's like the council is trying to avoid doing what the voters and taxpayers of this town want - vote down the sewers!!!! This is not rocket science nor should it be difficult. You'd think the non-elected political hacks in the town and the state have some sort of private agreement or something that will end up screwing the taxpayers!!!! Time to get someone to follow the dough!

I'm angry enough to go pee on their legs!

Maybe we should get the Tea Party to come and protest. They did a nice job at the State House last summer. How many protestors from other organizations would go through the metal detectors before marching around the State House to yell at the politicians.

Happy New Year

I first want to wish everyone a happy new year. What with the massive deficits facing us at the federal, state, and local levels, this year is shaping up to be a humdinger. I expect that we'll see more of the same locally since the town politicians don't have the nads to tell the legislature that they aren't going to pay for the unfunded mandates any more. Also, the taxpayers have to decide what services they are willing to do without!

Let's face it - all they can think of doing is raising taxes. So let's vote them out already - OK? Of course this requires candidates to run against them!! So run already! I can't run because I'm a dog and I'm not old enough - even in dog years! All I can do is piss on them through this blog.
